Brake test
All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles (Torsen differential)
Brake test on a 1-axle test stand for All Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles
The wheels on one axle are driven in opposite directions by the test stand so that the other axle is not driven.
We recommend using a brake test stand with RPM regulation for the rollers and a maximum test speed of 6 Km/h.
Brakes may engage if these specifications are not met (EDL regulation).
If this occurs, switch engine and ignition off for test. To obtain sufficient vacuum for the brake test, let engine run briefly.
If there is no All Wheel Drive (AWD) test stand available, the test can also be performed on a conventional test stand as long as the requirements listed above are met.
